SMOKY KISSES

Inhaled Havana milds
handrolled imported smokes
swirling in a haze
a sip of whiskey or acid wine
acrid island vices
handmaidens hecho a mano
on lips in nostrils
a tongue perfume
finally unwrapped like
a salmon filet, pink
inside the salty crust
fishes kisses tasting of brine and steam
caressed and cured for oceans of time
but never cured of the sea's addiction
smoldering kisses yet flameless
what makes this taste so smoky sweet
tobacco & ash
unrolled
unmade
unless
