"Data Mirror: Touchable Video series" Data Mirror is the first in a series of genetic reflection engines. The completion of the first working draft of the Human Genome, is being produced by two sociological drives; the scientific and the economic. Each bears little resemblance to the other. Both function under different determining systems: one builds an abstract, universal object, the other a market driven commodity; one based on a state run transcription of the human gene the other on artificial conditions of transcorporate media_hype. The only link between these two projects is the machinic encoding process that is building the genomic database network. The database network becomes the imaginary interface between the two projects. Data Mirror reflects this imaginary intersection.
