Jouke Kleerebezen writes: "Escapes
from art as escapes from commodification,
elitism, dominant markets, political
pressure, imperialisms and colonialisms
of sorts, just name it - art history
abounds with them, your 'critical/
multicultural theory of the past
couple of decades' thrives on them:
they never worked but stranded in
ever more art. Saved! but frustrated!

Far from escaping from it, vitruvius
yearns to be commodified. Indeed, since
the very beginning she has sought in vain
to dominate the market for exotic dance.
She doesn't recall ever being put under
political pressure, and her vivid memories
of imperialism revolve mainly around garden
parties. vitruvius says élitism can be fun.
She is allergic to words which begin with
"multi".

Some people are shocked by vitruvius's
robust views about art and life. I asked
her what she says to those people. "Words
are puny; instead, around my critics I
weave a seductive web of dance".

vitruvius awaits further questions.
