GREG
concerning the hypothesis of the emerAgency, the question is how you
conceive this triangulation, how do you put these three elements together
and what is the function of "famous disasters": are they mythologicl
stories, transferred from an already existing symbolic treasure to give
meaning to the current "local manifest problems", in as much as actual
trauma isolates and reduces the field of meaning and "famous disasters"
provide meaning that can be commonly adopted? in such a triangulation what
you are doing is maybe adopting a symbolic meaning for imaginary unstable
phenomenon and painful real events. Can you by this approach the archaic
Thing?
Now, yesteray while I was trying to think further on elaborating work
hypothesis that might follow from my last post and that might concern
"emerAgency", I suddenly felt like I was doing what I usually define as
"real" hard work. Pleasure disappeared, and at the same moment a message
arrived to the list - I erased it before realizing its insight, so I can't
repeat it or remember who wrote it - it was about the difference between
exchange of theory between artists and theorists and the use, commercial or
other, of this exchange. I would like to limit my interventions to the
first kind of exchange, because the second kind, it seems, have other
rules. It will be helpful if you will explain what do you mean by
"emerAgency as a consulting firm" - is it a university research project? is
it a company that offers consultation in reality? Is it a virtual art
project, is it an educational approach?
