are you talking about 'synesthesy' (did I wrote it correctly?)?
forms of mixing, superimposing, of 'double' perception?
This is very important to move away from the pure optical orthodoxy
which characterized modernism. Expanded sensoriality, pluri-sensorial
experiences, multisensoriality, etc, etc, are important keys to contemporary
art practice. I feel obviously close to Helio Oiticica and Lygia Clark,
artists who (between other names) experimented through creating works for
'the body', involving many senses, expeanding sensoriality. This creates
a new sense of vision as well...
