Reintroducing vitruvius

vitruvius says make-up is like architecture, it's all about tensile
structures. vitruvius is a night-club personality, and my next-door
neighbour. Her act ran for fifteen months at the Cafe de Paris. Noel
Coward was a regular. As a performer, vitruvius says she knows all there
is to know about spatial articulations, perspectives, and procedures.
She has been silently observing the Blast forum and feels, frankly, it
needs colour.

vitruvius's idea of colour is a little unpredictable. She is a creature
of the stage, with an ageing wardrobe staff and a crooked agent. If I
were pressed for a definition, I would say that her performances consist
mainly of dance, although elements of song - a kind of muffled shriek -
articulate the whole. These occur when the elastic ostrich-feather
fastenings strain across her lower back. Fortunately the audience rarely
detects these moments of discomfort. She is a true professional.

vitruvius has never liked Marshall McLuhan since he turned the title of
her show into the slogan "global village". At the same time, she is far
from litigious and recognises free publicity when she sees it.
