Brian,
when an author's call for a more united project is not responded to and he
shuts off and disappeard, can we deny that the group was not able to
respond to this wish? can we ignore that it was an either/or offer?
I am afraid of the One only when I am told that either I follow it or one
of us should perish. Please believe that this was in no way an attempt to
reduce the authenticity and complexity of an interesting research. I also
believe that the wish for linearity and completion is authentic and urgent,
I do not believe it will disappear from human aspirations. The question is
whether it is possible to establish linearity and completion in all kinds
of spaces, and what can we do if it is not possible. The quetion is also,
how do we negotiate our failure on the netspace. I have certainly failed to
communicate that my criticism is not a judgment upon an interesting
research or its author.
