Understanding that art can be stuck within a devastating set of static
cultural deviations, it should be possible to create a shimmer of
post-shock -- a recognition of the fact that effects that used to be
powerful are now locked up, their impact tamed and comprehended. I have
gone beyond this re-presentation to address waves of of contradiction
within the traumas that may, perversely, reassure us...
