The former is my own, sorry - referring to the Net's "underbelly" - usenet
and email list communities, ascii MUDs and MOOs and talkers, etc. I've
used the word for a while, and others have as well, but it's limited. It
refers to the non-illuminated Net in other words.

Push is common, everywhere - push technology - server-side supply. It's
been on the cover of almost every Net mag in the last few months. Check
out www.pointcast.com (I think) for an example.
