Where I come from we don't talk about nature, it lives inside us. Confronted with the urban fabric of the city I am drawn to the cracks and folds, scars and ruptures, holes and orifices of its surfaces and inhabitants. Crawling on my knees or along walls I capture extreme close-ups of intimate details. Later these images are greatly enlarged to magnify the beauty of the discarded and the over-looked. The depth of field, blended focus, texture, light and color give presence to the covert landscapes I carry within.
