The installation consists of a series of 8 photographs: GUNshots, a documentary video of a gun owner, and an interactive video projection.
A large projection screen is hanging in
the gallery window facing the street.
A video camera in the window and a laser beam on the sidewalk are connected to a sensor, a computer and a LCD projector that switches from showing people passing on the sidewalk in a 2 sec. delayed real time, to firing off a series of animated close-up photographs of guns when a passer-by crosses the laser beam. Simultaneously, a series of gun shots is heard from the speaker pointed at the street. |
