Biography
Jenny
Marketou born (9/11/ 1954 ) in Athens, Greece is a Brooklyn-based
artist who works with video video installations, internet, performance,
photography and public dialog. Her work is influenced by a varied
amount of diverse music just as much as theories, art and new media
technology. Her primary inspiration is in relationship with the multitude
of readings that can be viewed in the cultural landscape in which
she lives each time.
She
was invited to represent Greece in the Sao Paulo Biennial, in Sao
Paulo Brazil and in Manifesta 1, at Witte de With in Rotterdam . Currently
her work has been exhibited at Anita Becker's Gallery in Frankfurt-Maine
; 1st Biennial of Thessaloniki ,Centre of Contemporary Art Greece;
The Breeder Gallery in Athens; Laboral Centre for Art and Creative

Her

She
holds a Master of Fine Arts from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and she
has been teaching as adjunct professor Photography and Interdisciplinary
studio art at The Cooper Union School of Art and Science in New York
City.
