Well don't forget N.E. Thing Co. and its use of fax and slow-scan tv in
Vancouver (I think) way back when. This was hardly the usual use of
video and involved media nodes/projections, etc. not so different than
what's going on, on the net now.

But when is this history, among others, going to be recuperated? And
what's the point of pronouncement of the imminent if it's forgotten?

why is there a _should_ associated with net criticism or one might have
net.criticism? i agree that practice/praxis and knowledge of protocols
up and down the line is necessary, but that's nothing more than taste -
any 'should' in relation to art and / or theory scares the hell out of
me -
